- Oversee the accounting operations of the company, including the control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Ensure the month-end closing process is streamlined to meet a target timeline of 10 days, improving from the current average of 15 days.
- Manage and support the financial audit process, working closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and insights into financial statements.
- Lead the integration of financial systems for recent acquisitions, migrating to a common finance software platform to enhance data consistency and reporting efficiency.
- Maintain a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate with finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives, optimizing financial processes and systems across approximately 30 locations.
- Evaluate the finance department’s structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group, as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role, preferably within the a related industry.
- Experience with large-scale financial audits and a solid understanding of GAAP.
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reporting timelines in a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Strong experience in the integration of finance systems, particularly in a company built through acquisitions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Advanced proficiency in finance software and Excel; experience with migrating financial systems is highly desirable.
